It is true, Tiesto is a bit overated i think.
Traffic and Adiago for Strings were his best works, imo.
Paul Van Dyke has also had some good hits but not all his music is killer.
ATB, same with them. Although their music is a bit more chill i guess you could say, some of their songs are great to just chill to indeed.
But then dudes, its when you get the new or less known names coming out you know, those are the ones to listen to. Fresh beats no matter what.:
Jean Claude Ades
Fedde Le Grand
Stylophonics
Beatfreakz
Bob Sinclair
Paul Oakenfold
David Guetta
Eric Prydz
Mason
Booty Luv
Benny Benasi
Alex Gaudino
Thats the music to listen out for man. Sometimes even the local, not famous names can have the hottest club hoppers.
O, and Joey Negro. Who is coming to Jakarta this friday. Time to party it up
Btw, if any of you are new to the whole trance music scene, which DJ is hot. What's the current hot tracks and all. All i recomend is M.O.S think of it as your semi bible of Trance n Dance.

Guess it's preferance. Don't like Oakenfold so I didn't name him, and Van Dyk kicks the shit outta both Tiesto and Oakenfold.
IMO.
And thank you whoever mentioned Armin Van Buuren. He's excellent.
EDIT:
Westbam is very good as well. Just kinda hard to find.
Lee Haslam from the Tidy Boys(his songs just by himself, not with the group) is also a great search.

+100 Cool points to you sir.
Im either hiphop for the beat, or back to classical rock if I have to think some stuff out.

Tiesto, I don't really like it. I know a track from 'Triest Geval' about him. And I also know the text right out the head. Here it is:
Quote: Jezus, Tiesto, wat erg! Kuifje in dansje dansje land. Tiesto zuigt gewoon BIG TIME!
OMG that text is so funny.

Most mainstream electronika is simple and easy to make. Which is why I dislike most mainstream stuff. Alot of it doesn't really even take all that much talent to make - but it's not only that, it's the fact that alot of it is so lacking of different elements and sounds.

Classic.
Yeah oldskool rave from Germany ... good Chaby
That was when times were good ... too bad I was quite young then ... early till mid 90s :X
Oh and if you like Mauro Picotto ... do you know the track "Mauro Picotto - Verdi (Megamind Mix)"? That's my favourite!
Listened to it for MONTHS ^^
Grr you, you made me listen to my old Electronics folder with MP3s from 2003 and older ;O
Btw. I once found 2 guys from Slovakia and Hungary who had all those old techno and trance tracks from my childhood ... taped and collected them all ... but they were suspended from Youtube, otherwise I'd have posted some vids :/
And LOL @ Quyxz

Chaby, where are you from? I like that kind of music, always liked it.
This is still my all time favourite of Mauro Picotto
http://www.dailymotion.com/related/3398 ... o-komodo/1
that 1 reminds me of the days i still went outside every day with my old friends, but they all went into the drug world and i stepped out of the "group" in time.
Btw i'm totally into happy hardcore, hours and hours of the best happy hardcore music through headphones = spacing 24/7... DI.FM ftw.
