oi :D

i know for most its not wintersports times. especially not where i am now since
its sunny and round 20 degrees outside. however, id like to know how many
srf'ers board/ski/telemark/bigfoot/crosscountry or go on winter holidays to hike
in the snow :)

i myself started off skiing one week a year since i was 4 or something. i can
say ive grown to be pretty damn good at it xD. about 4 years ago, i studied
in norway for a year. we had this ski park on a 20 minute hike from school so
we were there every afternoon/evening. the slopes were too boring to do on
skis; just downhill as fast as we could, so i borrowed a snowboard and me and
some friends started experimenting. nowadays i rather take out my board than
my skis ^^

i tried cross country and mountain skis.. but my thing is to go downhill and
not uphill. uphill was only good when we were goin on long mountain trips,
but on those trips i only enjoyed the campfires at night.

i started skiing in austria since that is very skinoobfriendly, but since 8 years
or so, we been goin to italy. great places. you can ski from one village to
another and back.

so. long story. anybody else do any wintersports? :)

I can ski in a decent tempo without falling.
I generally go skiing once a year and I've did it quite a long time.
Alltough it depends on the snowquality and weather how good I ski.
Some days I fly over the slopes yet on other days I blow extremely.

imo learning to board is 10x easier than learning to ski.

it does hurt in the beginning though, but if you know how to fall, its a lot of fun.

That's exagerated.
Let's call 10°C cold.
Anything below 0 is madness :D
