Hmm, I dunno what to think. It's a reality TV show that may air which has three dudes compete in order to receive a pair of kidneys from a dying woman.

LOL. TV...

EDIT: Read this in a newspaper article:
"A TV show in which a woman would donate a kidney to a contestant was revealed as a hoax Friday, with presenters saying they were trying to pressure the government into reforming organ donation laws.

Shortly before the controversial program was to air, Patrick Lodiers of the "Big Doner Show" said the woman was not actually dying of a brain tumor as claimed and the entire exercise was intended to add pressure on the government and to raise public awareness of the need for organs."

What do exect from mad Dutch people.

They do it because there's a lack of donors in the Netherlands and probably the rest of Europe/world.
And they'd get high viewratings.

TBA
Bad publicity is better as no publicity.

It's quite understandable.
Dying woman with cancer wants to give up her kidney. Not many do > +1 for dying woman.
3 people will have more chance getting a new kidney with this show. In real life they probably won't be so close to a new beginning thanks to the lack of donors.

It might seem sick to some of you, but unless you can grasp the problem behind it, you won't understand why.
If you ever lose someone who's dear to you, because he couldn't get a donor organ in time, you'd be in a better position to judge.

Why is it sick that a tvshow offers someone a chance to save their life?
Isn't the life more important than the show being unethical?
They have show where they preform cosmetic surgery, which is "allowed".

What I mean is that it's sick that they're doing it for ratings - you think the producers of the show actually give half a shit about the women who's dying, or the three guys that need the kidney? No. They're doing it for the ratings, and that's what makes it sick. :(

Believe me, man, I know what it's like being helpless, watching someone you love die of cancer...

Well then how do you still think they're doing it for ratings...?

If you'd read it then you should understand that they did it to raise public awareness and to pressure the government...

Yeah they were. I just didn't want to give you guys too much to read. They were, however, in real need of organ transplants. :( Are I should say heh.
