Post subject: Is it really worth doing all quests? Posted: Mon Jun 04, 2007 1:07 am |

Hello everyone.
The thing is that I've known this game for months now, but I seem to be unable to get into it. I just get tired by level 17 due to the quests. I have had countless characters I end up dropping, and also played in a lot of servers, from Xian to the newest ones. I can't stick to it.
I somehow feel forced to do them, don't ask me why. It has to be my tendency of being a completionist in most offline videogames.
I'm just wondering if it's safe to not do quests at all, maybe just at the start and from there keep grinding. I especially hate to be sent to kill monsters I loathe, or have to kill countless of them for random drops in order to finish the quest.
Kind of a silly question, I know...
Thank you.

heres the thing about quests, they give it to u too early for a reason, the quests usually involve strong monsters. So, save up a quest until 2~3 lvls above when they give it to u and do it, very fast xp
Note: If ur 0 gaping till a cetain lvl, DO NOT DO QUESTS!! This will screw with ur xp/sp ratio and f*ck u over and make u lose ur 0 gap

Makes sense about the 0 gap.
I guess I can try, still I think I'll avoid certain annoying quests not worth the time/reward

im assuming ur talking that 200 quest u get early, at the bottom left/right of bandit stronghold(outside) there are a lot of them, and @ lvl 18 w/ lvl 18 weps they r easy to kill

Yeah, that's one of them, and the operational map one is also tedious if my luck sucks.

Basic point of quests is to level u up at low levels.. when u hit lvl 40 there are no quests until u hit 45 .. similarly at 54 to 59 no quest..
So its better u do all ur quests now.....
BTW u can skip some quests if ur bored.... but i wuldnt do tat

can you explain more on this. i'm almost done with farming and i plan to go with 0 gap for a very long time and doing quest at the same time, so how would this affect the exp/sp ratio

If you do quests with a 0 gap you will get too much XP and not many SP so you will be lacking a lot of skills. But you say you are farming so, full farm and you won't need to worry hehe

once again, im working on a farming/no farming lvling guide cause i see too many "how do i lvl up" Qs, anyways atm
say u follow this:
http://stud3.tuwien.ac.at/~e0125557/sro/spgain.html
and u calculate that u need 250k xp @ lvl 16 and then if u lvl @ 0 gap to 80 ull have 320k sp (im making all of this up btw, just an example)
now, lets say @ lvl 38 u do a quest that gives u 40000 xp and 25000 sp exp, that is LESS than what you would get if you only did 0 gap, it would be more similar to if u grinded 40000 xp you would recieve 30000 sp exp, therefore your now 5000 sp exp short, and that could throw off your calculations
