Lol I went on Alienware's website once to try to build the most expensive computer and it got up past $10,000. I think I could have built it myself for less than half the price.

I was hooked on computer magazine(mikrobitti) 2years before I got my first pc and had some friends with experience. For anyone I recommend xtremesystems.org/forums. It's best place to learn basics and ofcource xtreme PS. Avoid being in top100 it rapes your wallet alive!(my main is down due to overvolted(burned v-sb chip) mb ) [SD]happynoobing wrote: well i know a case that comes with a pretty decent 600W PSU, and it's very quiet.
Thats most likely 600W max input, but you need to know output power and what v-rails use same coils. I would advise to stay away from psu that come with cases or the ones that are really cheap.
These ones will keep your hardware running far more stable underload for much longer time: OCZ, Enermax, Silverstone, and my fav "pc p&c".

You know whats my dream computer? A laptop without the screen but a projector built in. Not just any projector but a Star Trek projector so it doesn't need a wall. i demand at least 1TB of space and 500GB or ram >.>. It should hover and go into hyperspace with a push of a button.

I hope you don't plan on gaming on that laptop then. Laptops are pretty mediocre at gaming.

soon games will need 4gb to run. it's always better to have more than to have just enough.

If you want to utilize more than 3.2 gig you need to use a 64 bit Operating System. You can put all the RAM in the computer that you want, but if you are in the 95%+ of the home computer users in the world your OS is 32 bit, and it con't use more than 3.2 gig.

Why must all the parts for a new computer cost so much money, the mind is willing but the wallet isn't!

Alienware are overpriced, green things.
I was planning to get a new comp, so i started to read to reviews about all the parts on newegg.com, and it turns out that the psu on it was a piece of junk, according to most people it would blow in like...less than a month.

Alienware was good, but now they're garbage like their dell gimp daddies.
On the subject of case and powersupply, I bought my thermal take PSU and case seperatly, I <3 them so much.

Soprano, it's not really fancy. But I slide mine into a shelf I had built in my desk. It fits perfectly and from the front it's very flush and clean. Fits the decor of my office very well.
