Well, by all means, listen to Hyro and not me. He's tons more experienced than me. Sorry if I've given you any wrong information. Just what I've picked up by reading a hundred Euro threads a day.
Hyro, yay!

The problem is that many threads take the
Solo: Chinese > Euro
Group: Euro > Chinese
As an absolute truth.
Yes it will happen most of the time, but Euros aren't that usless by themselves and Chinese can make good group fight too.
It's easy to believe that euros can't grind solo because many people say "party or you are dead" but, even with the pot delay that doesn't happen very often.

A pure str big sword pvping and a pure str rogue/cleric pvping. Not much, but these are the only euro players that pvped in the last couple of days. There you can see that euros can stand their ground ^

Oh and yes, I can easily kill giants my level. As long as I don't take party monsters my level, I'm ok.
Maybe for a STR player, but i am pure INT wearing Robes and fighting physical mobs... all i can do is cast Fear to not be attacked and run away if a giant comes near me. And even when i played a pure STR char i tried to take giants of my level, and even when they didn't much damage, i couldn't kill them fast enough, because my damage wasn't very high either... that's why i say, in my experience, giant = dead most of the times.

Actually, the best advise to give to anyone is to listen to -all- the advises before making up their mind. Not one single person will provide anyone here with the "ultimate" truth about Euro update.
+1 to that

People say "You level much faster in party", not my experience at all, I believe that you can level the same speed soloing in Europe.
Maybe you don't much faster, but the chatting can do wonders, when playing in party you usually have a very fun time and, by the time you check your XP you already have 50% or even level up without noticing hehe

as a wizard...
which "element" of spell did u stick to? I train mainly Fire and Ice, but Earth is extremely helpful.
Did you stick with fire/lightning? I don't like light nuke... it's weak, it has AoE but if i want to attack more than one mob, i use Earth.
Are you restricted to one element? No, you can take the four of them.
Would u go past some sort of mastery limit for trying to max out every element, and aquire certain bard skills? The mastery cap increase at each level by 2, and it is made so you could have 1 mastery at your level, and a second mastery 5 levels behind, but i like to keep both updated so i go with a 2-3 gap.
Would that require insane amounts of SP that is just too hard to get? Wizard skills require lots of SP so, eventually you will have to farm, if you want to get them all.
Am i better off sticking to 2 elements in the wizard tree? You could do it, and most people would say that you focused on Fire/Earth, but i think Ice is useful too, because of the frostbite and freezing.
Is it helpful or not worth it to get skills from ice, lightning, fire, and earth? And try to go into some bard skills as well? You will need lots of SP, if you plan to do that, get a 4-5 level gap, maybe even 3 would be enough...
Sorry for the massive amount of inquiries, but i just dont want to screw up when euro rolls around.
