I have like a level 19 warrior or something, and he's a badass, but he's a warrior (lol).
My mage is pretty good, but I added like 15 points into hp or something.
I hated it. It's a 2d side scroller MMO that gives you the generic class system. The fighting system is 'new and unique' for about 15 minutes before you realize that gameboy color games had better systems than this.
Maplestory is an okay game, i kept going back to it for some reason but ive stopped now.
If you screw up ur stats just a bit then trouble will come in your way later on. Thats the only bad part about the game, also.
The major pro about it is that its not a grind fest, there are many ways to level, Solo Quests, Party Quests, Guild Quests, Bosses those are the ones that were out when i quit.
The major con about it is that its wayy to repetitive, meaning you'll get bored in less than 1 month most likely.
had lvl 36 assassin had a set of steelies then i started sro and in sro the top right corner is closing shop and when i went back to maplestory i sold my steelies to the shop.
then i gave away all my stuff everything i wore was +ed etc.
OT: Never played Maplestory but I played this one game that is similar to it. And I gotta tell you, side scrollers burn my eyes. Everything moving too fast it's like a blur.
Tried it some time ago.. got to lvl 10 and gave up.
Great community tho.
Wrong. MS has a horrible community. If you think the flamers and jerks that play SRO are bad, MS is only 50 times worse, and that's not an exaggeration. Half the people that play the game are little 10-year-old kids, and they feel like they can talk shit to you, do things that they're not supposed to do IRL, because they're over the internet.
Personally, I have a L90 legit DK, lol...
No, I didn't grind it up. The furthest that I grinded a character up on MS was a L52 Assassin. My friend gave the DK to me, but then I'm letting another friend play it now - actually, pretty much gave it to him.
Compared to SRO...
SRO > MS.
The thing that I just really hate about MS is the... well, lack of skills. You get three new Skill Points every time you level, and you can only distribute them into certain skills. In SRO, you have such a wide range on where you can distribute all your points.
