It seems lots of people don't really give a shit at all about what they're eating...their priority is soley good food, not taking nutrition into account.

Since I don't really eat enough I try and make what I do eat actually beneficial to myself. Milk, iced tea, lots of fruit and salad, not too much greasy food, no chips, rarely cookies and candy...heh and lots of water of course.

How about you guys?

I eat 4 eggs and 2 loaves of bread every morning. And for lunch and dinner I just eat whatever my mom cooks or I make an italian hoagie for myself and pasta for dinner.

eating healthy is a very good idea, for a while i didnt give a shit what i ate, and i ate fast food all the time, but since i have moved, i have been eating mostly food i prepared myself, and i have noticed a HUGE difference in both the way i feel and how my brain works. It is quite amazing actually.

eating home cooked food FTW.

Trying to eat healthy now, as you guys probably know.
Have a quick question:

Cereal. Is it good, or bad for you? There's this really good cereal... atleast, I find it good, that I'm eating right now to substitute for chips and so.
Special K - Chocolatey Delight, or something. Has 120 calories, 20 of which are from fat, per serving, and 9 vitamins and minerals.

Good? Bad? One of my friends eats cereal everyday for breakfast, and for lunch, and he's really buff, so it can't be bad, right?

Ya some cereals are good for you. As for me I eat fairly healthy and am a good weight but I wouldn't say I eat enough vegetables tho.

Cereal is good but some aren't. Your friend might be buff but you can still be buff and eat unhealthy stuff.

Black I'm sorry that Psych is bringing this into your thread. Anyways you can work out, be buff, and eat junk food so I don't see what the problem is with what I said. I'll occassionally have pretzels, popcorn, and other snacks but I've stopped drinking soda which is one of the worst kind of junk food there is.

Lol just don't get my innocent nutrition thread locked and I'm cool. :P

Fena that question is kinda simple really, things like Cheerio's, Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran, Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes, Total, Special K...basically the one's that aren't really sweet flavored.

And don't put sugar on those cerials or you might as well be eating Lucky Charms or Fruit Loops lol.

I usually don't have breakfast, if I do it's either a plain crouissant or a crouissant sandwich...(sometimes stop by this bakery when my friend is working...)

Lunch I usually have a sandwich, soup and a salad(sometimes I don't feel like a salad though...they aren't that great here at work...) with iced tea or milk...

Since I work till 7:30 I don't eat anything from lunch till like 8 or so, whenever I get where I'm tryin to go. I have to buy or score free food every night since I don't have a home to go to for the moment, so I sometimes won't eat dinner either...if that happens I'll just go buy some almonds or a banana and apple or somethin...

But hey I get a salad and some fruit and grains and fibers in me every single day. Protein and other meat-provided nutrients not so often...

Almost always skip dessert...if I have some it's probably cookies and milk or some ice cream. Just a little bit.

well i used to eat very healthy.. salads, healthy cooking, fruits..

but nowadays, i skip breakfast to sleep an extra 15 minutes, i dont have time
to make lunch before i leave for work so i end up buying either sandwiches or
fastfood and in the evenings im tired most of the time so i end up getting a
pizza or something.

im really not a bad cook or whatever, its just that i cant really seem to find the
time for that kind of thing at the moment. positive thing is, i never get fat.

Sandwiches are healthy...specially if you use wheat bread. Bread, meat, veggies...what's wrong with that?

And pizza in moderation is okay with me... :P

Heh still not good for you.

I could eat shitty food and stay skinny cos as I said, I most often eat one meal a day, sometimes two.

I'd rather not though...lots of pizza and burgers and fries is bad for your arteries and heart and gives you flab even if you are skinny.

Proper food makes you lean and prevents flab from forming and is good for your body. :P

i have to start eating health....i guess im a little over weight says my doctor :banghead: (ok maybe not a little a lot) but anyways i started eating better and exercising more. i lost like 10 pounds in the last week.
i really didnt care and had no incentive to lose weight and my parents were getting pissed at me and they wanted to to take this seriously causwe i just blow it off and laugh.

i will be 17 in september and im 5'7 and bout 210-220ish and i guess that is really really bad for my age/height :banghead:

so my parents decided if i lose weight and get to a health weight for my age/height that they will buy me a laptop computer so i guess that is my incentive now. so i have been doing really good. havent ate fast food in like 2 weeks...

o well i guess losing weight is a good thing plus the laptop :D
