For some reason I doubt the validity of his story. Makes 2 threads in the same night with one about his friend getting alcohol poisoning and then this:
Blackdragon6 wrote: I haven't downloaded the euro client yet, but now that i am it says it will only take 30min $4,500 for this computer finally paid off. i was always reading ppl's posts about it taking 12 or more hours.
Personally I don't think anyone would post this kind of tragedy in a gaming forum.

If it's true I feel sympathy for you and your friends... I used to be a heavy drunk... Once at this party I was with my way-ex-boyfriend like 6 years ago he was 19 (I was 18, we were way underage but now I'm 24 but I drink lightly on occasions) and got drunk out of his mind... He snapped into a rage and stormed out of the house, we (me and a friend from the party) found him 3 blocks away on top of a 14 year old boy punching the poor kid. So my friend had to pull my BF off the kid so my BF swung at my friend as I called the cops... In the end, 1 boy ends up in hospital and the 3 us got caught underage drinking and my BF assault.
I still fear if one day anything like that happens again.
I also saw someone die in my company, even worse... it was my own cousin. He had a big asthma problem and had to get a double lung transplant in the blackout of 2003 or 2004. Then in 2005 he was to get yet another double lung transplant after new years. So on Dec. 25, Christmas, we visited him at the hospital, it was me, my mother, my other cousin and my uncle. At 4:05 he had to go to the bathroom, he came out all sweaty and said to us that he felt dizzy, then he fell to floor. The doctors rushed in with the defilb_(something.... the machine with 2 things that jolt electricity into the body that stops the heart to let it restart back to normal). They tried many times but they said nothing could be done, so my uncle grabbed him in his arms and the last thing my cousin said was "I love you, dad". He then passed away in my uncles arms at 4:18 a.m. december 25, 2005. Everyone there was crying then complete silence. Now on his birthday we all get together and celebrate his former life for we know he'd want us to live as we were before then to mourn for him. Having a loved one die in your presence is the saddest thing I beleive could happen

Well he's obviously an idiot- he thinks spending $4500 on a computer improves his download speed somehow

To get alcohol poisoning you have to really over do it. And keep pushing despite your body telling you to stop.
A tragedy? sure. But don't let the death be in vain, let it be a lesson to your friends.

this isnt the gaming forum, this is the off topic lounge. if it was all one forum the website would be called silkroad forum not forums.

Being in a group, or wanting to belong to one can have odd effects on people. >_>

I doubt this also.
I've drinken more than 20 shots of two different types of alci within an hour and I didn't die.
Yes, I had minor alcohol poisoning for 2 or 3 days, but I didn't even come CLOSE to dying.
Anyway if this is true I think you need to be finding consolation with your friends and family. REAL friends who can give you hugs.
Why do you make things up like this? No one believes you man...

Dude, you CAN die from alcohol poisoning, believe me on this one.
Besides, some people are more resistant to Alcohol then other's. This could be her first night out, or anything else.

I'm aware you can die from alcohol LOL, I never said otherwise.
I just don't believe this guy's story at all. He just wants attention.
Think: If he felt so horribly that he needed to talk to people he doesn't even know on a forum about it, he would have gone off on a long, rambling, sad tangent letting all of his feelings out.
He wrote two sentences.
The main point of the topic was that his friend ALMOST died, whereas his other friend DID die, but he just passes that off as a secondary thing.
He's trying to get attention and he sucks at it.
I've been to some fucken mad mad insane parties and I've NEVER seen anybody drink enough to have to be taken to the hospital.
By mad parties I mean cocaine, ecstasy, bottles and kegs, downers, uppers, all in the same place.
And I've seen NOBODY die.
He's full of shit.

I've seen a girl from my class drive into alcoholic coma by drinking 0,75 liters of vodka. It's a scary sight. She started convulsing badly and became very pale. Alcohol abuse can hurt badly, these products need to be consumed responsably, else they can do you bad; very bad.

not really- the fact that the paramedics did manage to revive her doesn't mean he's not too concerned about a friend of a friend.
although he is still a lying attention whoring bastard, yeah.

I know everybody is different, but it's just hard for me to believe.
I've been to the point of shallow breathing, pale, clammy skin, can't stand straight without falling over and dry-heaving, moaning and groaning in pain. I slept it off on a big peice of wood behind the guy's house for a few hours.
I've been so drunk I passed out on a bed, woke up for just long enough to throw up while facing upwards, still laying down...and go back to sleep. Woke up again, had enough sense to stand up, got up and couldn't pull my eyes from the ground, the weight of gravity was almost overwhelming me and pushing me down to the ground. I puked where I was looking, threw my blanket over it, and slept. Woke up one last time, turned my head aside, puked again, and passed out. All in my friends bedroom. You have to be incredibly drunk to do something like that. That was when I had about 20 shots within an hour.
I've had the spins so bad that if seemed like I was literally spinning in a circle.
I've thrown up so many times for like 15 mins straight to the point I was dry-heaving.
I'm not bragging. I'm wondering how I havn't died from the way I've partied compared to other people dying from partying less crazy than me.
