Euro characters are all about party play. The effectiveness of the party would depend on the correct mix of character classes and everyone working together. Assuming that everyone know their role, my perfect party would be:
3 x clerics
4 x wizards
1 x bard
The cleric would take turn to cast the Bless Spell, which massively increase the physical and magical defense of the whole party for 45 seconds. It has a 2 minute cooldown, but with 3 clerics, this can be turned on continuosly. The cleric would also cast the Force/Mental +STR and +INT spells for the wizards and group heal when necessary.
The wizards will mainly turn on Life Control and obliterate everything using AOE spells. Nothing should survive long enough to hurt them signficantly apart from party giants, which may require the bind spell. Their destructive capacity could be aided by the clerics' Offering/Pure Offering spell.
The sole purpose of the bard is to cast the speed spell and replenish the MP of the other members.
I think this party would level the fastest and use the least HP/MP pots. No warror is required. One of the wizards may be substituted with a xbow rogue to lure mobs.
So, what do you think, and what is your perfect Euro party?
the mob hole:
this is a worse case scenario that will destroy your pt.
A] 2+ pt giants and 1+ pt champ
1]remember to lvl quickest its a must to battle mobs 11 lvls higher than the average lvl
i]now heres how it starts
ii]bless spell will not be able to work as predicted
1]because pt giants will hurt wizards. pt giants = massive dmg alot of hp
2]clerics will be caught up healing
3]now to my second point healing agros mobs.
4]because there are no tanks to taunt the mob away, or kd/kb the clerics are in danger
B] now your probadly saying well we will just split dmg 2 wizards atk the agro/ed mobs and 2 atking the other mobs
1]this wont work splitting up between yourselves to deal dmg or save clerics that will agro the majority of mobs, will only cause you to die.(3 clerics = pissed mobs)
bless spell wont help a wizard unless your fighting mag based mobs.
to my understanding the majority of mobs = phy.
+str/int unless on higher lvls (40+) wont help much.
so here is how your pt will fail in this order, ive seen many pts like your fall, just read. (this is the worst case scenario, a scenario involving phy mobs and mag players)
1] 1 giant spawn 2 pt giant spawns several pt mobs in surrounding area
2] wizards are atked, (no matter how much dmg you deal, you cant make up for phy def and hp, with or w/o BS/str-int+ wizards will die if confronted with 2 many pt mobs)
3] clerics agro mobs in surrounding area, clerics are mobbed.
i]clerics keep healing trying to stay alive causing more agro
4]wizards try to save clerics, ignoring mobs atking them
5]bard trys to fight, but cant last long without clerics BS
(note clerics cant cast BS because of the onslaught of pt mobs (constant state of healing), not even 4 wizards can take on 2 many pt mobs)
6]in the process of trying to stay alive clerics might run (running away will pause healing)
7]during this lapse wizards will die because no1 could heal them
8]naturally the clerics will attempt to rez while being mobbed, another lapse in healing, unless your bard has sub cleric.... thier dead (unless you decide ahead of time which cleric will do the main ressing and which cleric is the back up resser, your pt will die from a res overlap
9]as the clerics die, the wizards are left to use pots.... wizards die next (wizards die next because, while clerics where agroing mobs the wizards were "attempting" to stop the pissed mobs w/o kb/kd )
10]if the bard hasnt already shat his/her pants and run away, the bard will either run or die.
end -
your probadly saying... when will this happen.
well in parties ive been in made up of all int based players with me being the only phy based player, its always me who ends up tanking.... then ressing the wizards, who try to tank dmg from pt giants, the clerics usually being idiots who want to fight instead of support tend to die fast.
and well bards ..... rare
also its not unusual for a massive spawn of an overwhelming amount of pt mobs to happen.
without some1 with kb/kd or taunt/atks that taunt.
your ill equipped pt will fall against the hordes of pt mobs that spawn.
