I just made some research, pls help me whit this:

Does tha dmg you receive take more % from you mana than listed?
The description tells the % of the dmg you receive is taken from you mana, BUT, there is a 1.x ratio betveen the dmg and the used mana.

Becoz this will be on high lvl a serius problem, if you receive high dmg and can not use any skill coz you'll have low mana.
So mana shield will be a serius threat in pvp or gw?

thats the reason why most pure str dont have the shield, coz they could have a lack of mp during pvp...which can cause their death. hybrids should have enough mp usually...pure int no discussion, its just a must have

Well i undestand in mana shield this:

That in lvl 1 Novice mana shield, gets 20% of the damage.

Lets see that with defense and parry, u get 1000 damage, so.. i think that u will suffer only 800 dmg
and the 200 dmg will go to mana pool, that means that will burn 200 of your mana.

Do u think that is like i say?

well, lets use these numbers instead for easy math.

Assume your mana shield takes 50% dmg.
Assume your enemy hits you for 1000 dmg.
HP takes 500dmg hit.

But according to the description, the mana shield will take more than 500dmg to it. Maybe taking something like 650dmg

I believe thats what he's trying to say.

As for an answer, i dunno.

Yup, there is the point.
If you got for example a 15k dmg(crit or whatever) and about the half of it instantly goes down from the mana WITH the multiplier %, in some cases the pots cant take that much leeching, cant replenish your mana that fast, so you end up without skills in a batlle.
But this is imo, dont take it as a fact.
