However, all its gonna do is force the gold sellers to buy silk for globals...which will make it so even outside of town, constant global goldselling spam Do you actually believe that will happen? Remember the gold companies are a business. atm they are getting free advertising. They are spamming their advertisements every 3 seconds or so for free, all they have to pay for is electricity and internet bills. Now if the gold selling companies decide "lets use globals to advertise" it most probably cause a loss in revenue for them. If they still want to spam their advertisements every 3 seconds it will result in 20 globals per minute. Now considering how much money that will actually cost them to do, it could be a terrible business decision. Instead what we will see is instead of the same spam bot spamming 24/7, we will notice that every 3 hours or so a new bot may be created. This way it will cause the sro players to block the new spam bots. But even this method has its flaws. It will take mere seconds to block these bots and it would take longer to make the new bot than it does for us to block it. Now how will the gold companies counter this? They will create names which have a variety of similar looking keys. for example IllIllIllIllI. In game this would appear as llllllllllllll. Though even this has it flaws. If they make it possible to simply click on the character and have its name automatically appear in the "type name to block" box, then it will counter this. Also pk2 edited fonts such as the one juey uses can distinguish between I's and l's which will still make it possible to block these bots. No matter how i look at it, joymax: 1 - Goldspammers: 0 Also can anyone who use to play on ksro confirm how frequently these event mobs spawn? Also can anyone confirm how much these sp rewards are?
Now that's the smartest post i read in a while...i totally agree witcha, because, if you know how friend request add's work, i dunno how, u can have the guy's name automatically appear in the add friend box...however, the similitude to the friend list made me think of a bad side of it...
And it's the fact they are limited to 20 persons....And prolly the chat block list might be the same. Now this would cause huge disadvantage to one because, instead of just blocking a chat spammer, now he has to spend double time deleting one from block list. Not to mention the fact that you must know whose company the bot is, or you might have the pleasant surprise of seeing the bot is still active, and you haven't gained sh**. And it would only become a matter of time till gold companies have like 10 chat bots instead of one, which would make everybody's list get overflown with names, and render it useless...i hope it doesnt happen, but we shall see in like 50 mins...till then, good luck.
PS : Spamming on gloabls is retarded, you'd have to CCF like 45 mill silk at once to global for one day xD.

yes we have to
anyway about the thing.... well the christmas event is going to start at 10pm silkroad standard time (i wanst on wen the gm announced it but some1 in acadmy told me...)
about the chat block... one thing bad about it is that we can only block 20 whispers at 1 time for whispers .. but the whispers will be stored on server so if you change comp you dont have to put it back on... however blocking in all is unlimited (i hope ) but it only stores on pc... so if we change pcs we have to put on the names again also i just tried this now but.... we have to type the chars name to block them.... so well that answers your questions ppl

^ Double click the file, there should come a message Code: Please Wait (little box). After that it will ask you to install the game.

This event is a failure to satisfy us once again. After 2 days of event, server traffic comes back, and guess what? Non premium users get disconnected, and the event is during the top peak crowded hours. How are we able to play and participate in the event in a situation like this? Another thing is, Joymax fixed the chat block disconnection yes, but what's wrong now? The damn list doesn't save, when I entered town it was just filled with spam again! I really don't know when Joymax will actually get their act together, the event monsters spawn so bad, Santa socks drop rate is horrible, and gold bots are back. iSRO is really coming to a near end. If this keeps up for another year, it's best that I play another game that actually promises something they claim to be true.

I don't really understand this event...do the event mobs appear anywhere except cities when it snows or just on specific spots?

Actually i enjoy this event, i remember back during the halloween one, the jewel boxes would drop so much in parties it wouldn't be fun anymore, i've gotten all the masks in two days of grinding.
On the other side the spawn rate of the event monsters is pretty low, but i always like to have a challenge in whatever i do so running all around the map trying to find them is pretty fun.

one more on the event item drop subject
so far i've found 10-12 event mobs, (young kangaroo)
the drops have been gold for the most part and 2 socks
the socks have been redeemed for 10 mp grain(25%)
& 10 hp grain (25%)
So far this event sucks, the time you have to play to participate
the rewards for the drops is horrible
the one good thing is you seem to get 4 times the normal exp point
for a mob of the same level you are currently fighting

You will learn better eventually. Wings are overpriced. This is by far the crappiest event in SROs history to date. And the chat block was promised to us about a year and a half ago. Same ole shit. To little. To late. Joymax FTL.

Scroll in town is so fast you can't read all chat at all most times. It simply does not make sense to do it the way they do in all chat let alone in global. No matter how i look at it, joymax: 1 - Goldspammers: 0
That is awfully optimistic there. I think more realistically it is joymax: .25 - Goldsellers 1^20
But the fact that joymax considers it our duty to individually block gold spammers and not theirs. Well that should give you an indication of just how fuct up as a company they are. Nothing is ever their fault. They never have anything to apologize for. And they never ban those that violate their rules. Hell if you violate their rules you can go to GNGCW to represent them.
