So i'm going for pure STR so far, being lvl 9. However, to use my fire skills, etc it basically drains my mana guage within 5 or 6 uses of level 1 skills. How does everyone deal with this? Place some character points in INT? Buy tons of MP potions?

Ok first thing this proves u dont know why u making STR character( NO OFFENSE) the point of putting full str or INT is that when ur char is at high levels u are a good PURE STR OR INT . Meaning to say every time u level up i thing 3 (not sure) point are added to INT AND STR other than the 3 point given to u which u can distribute. This characters are basically "TANKERS"
Meaning to say KABLOOMI AND ur dead. No time to think so basically its one shot kill. If u are not interested in such build i suggest going for Hybrid.

FOR A NORMAL MONSTER KILLIN SITUATION:
A pure str wud be harder to kill even if he / she has a weaker weapon because he has more HP.
A pure int wud be harder to kill coz he / she has concentrated elemental power which he can use over to heal quickly or say shoot magic powers over and over again.

So if u like using magical powers over and over i suggest go for a PURE int built:
As for my i am pure str sure do use a lot of MP but when it comes to normal attac i dont even care of using a HP pot . I sometime leave my character just like that and when i come back a monster wud have been trying to kill me but not much HP would be lost as i have ton to spare.

Pure str is not so good if u are doing all the quest assuming u are a regular guy with not so good weapons(mostly bought from npc).

I found solution for this is: Get you levels high by grinding on those monster which u can kill with less effort .
And invest in a good weapon cos effectively u wont have to buy mp pots
if ur weapon kills for ya. I usually use special elementals only when i think its taking too long to kill the monster.

For example: I was doing chakji quest at lvl 22 now i had to kill 600 (which i did in approx 8 hrs) with a normal lvl 18 weapon bow,
First when i started i used all the mp pots which was kinda cosly but for the last 400 heres what i did
I used the elemental powers (blade + fire + smash seri) to kill the chackji quick then after killing 3 in row i wud rest replenish go for 3 more.

Here's what you do. Walk to NPC Herbalist. Hold control. Click on Mana Pots.

I haven't encountered this problem ever.. Just use MP pots, it's worth it, I kill monsters about 3-4 hits with an imbue and my imbue can be used up until 4-5 times with full mana, I only use one imbue per kill and I get about enough gold for every kill to buy one MP pot and one MP pot fulls my 30%/100% MP, that means, for 1 MP pot, you gain 4-5 MP pots, so you will still gain money for every kill and also fast exp...

Don't go a little hybrid unless you want to actually BE a hybrid. A pure str isn't meant for massive damage or fighting without pots. It's meant for being damned near impossible to kill quickly. 2 good bladers fighting each other will usually only end if one of them gives up or if they run out of pots. The way it does this is massive HP due to all his points being put into str.

Don't worry about mp. You have autopot for a reason. I usually go out with 4 hp pot stacks and 20 hp pot stacks. I have yet to run out of either before my weapon breaks.

Sound advice, thanks! I assume one of the stacks you mentioned is MP, and one HP, but I get what you're saying.

Ofcourse. If you don't you wont make it for long, unless you're damn rich, and got too much money. FOr a pure STR, I'd say fire tree, and the lightning as sub for the buffs. Maybe some levels of force if you want to heal yourself.

:D !! Well i told what i experienced!! But its true that a pure str PVP Fight cud be boring one there are actually some hilarious posts saying a Pure str Glavie and blade user gave up saying "They had enough" trying to kill each other.

Another advantage of a Pure str is TRADING, i dont know how a INT wud do but i myself found this very help full.
1) I harldy bother to stop when (black tigers white tigers or bandits attac)
coz it wud coz me more mana then Hp pots my hp is good enough., hardly bother to replinish.

Image
This is what u should expect at lvl 24.

I am wearing blue items Lucky to have things which boost STR BY 3. SO
This might vary

Now when i carry out 1* Trade, its very easy to calculate the HP/MP pots need per each ride .
As i pure str Blade user i usually Make a successfull trade(assuming no Idiot Thief player decideds to Murder me) NPC are more easy to kill than The tigers and bandits.
I usally takes 4 HP POTS(I CARRY 50).
takes 10-15 POTS(I CARRY 60).
takes 33 Transport heal pots(i carry 50 and 1 X-large just in case)
Why i am mentioning this is because if ur Transport gets attacked by Tigers and stuff all u have to do is hit them couple of times and wander away i dont even bother to kill them.
I go only for 2 things (a).NPC Thiefs (b).Things that try to attack transport

If your mp consuption is too much of a bruden, try having a level gap between you base level and your masteries. This will help, especially in the higher levels wherein you need more skills to finish a mob fast. :)
