I can tell you why you do it. Because around 3x the leveling really starts to slow down, also the new abilites don't start coming until 40, then 50 etc etc for most classes. You probably get bored doing the same moves over and over and you want to go back and try something new. Maybe try and switch it up by jobbing or maybe take your higher level chr and go down to some low mobs and help people plvl for free. I'll do this so that when these people get higher, more friends to party with. I've got 3 chrs all in 3x and I just switch between them depending on whichever one I feel like playing. It keeps it interesting for me and I'm not in any hurry to get to 80, I'm just playing for fun.

Well, whether you want to stay with the lvl 16 you currently have or start a new one that's completely up to you, but you can get to lvl 16 with a new build in a day or two of hand grinding , so starting a new one if your current one isn't that appealing isn't that big of a deal. The fact that you are asking if you should start a new one, sounds to me like you really don't like your 16 and want to start a new one, but aren't looking forward to grinding the new one up through those low levels back to 16. My advice pick something that is out of the ordinary for you and start grinding from scratch. You sound like you like the big damage dealing characters from your previous builds. Try playing something like a buffer class. Go for a Cleric, you can always find parties and when they get up there in level, their Offering spell can do some pretty impressive damage. Same reason I've got a bard going, they can do some great damage and have good buffs for solo grinding, but when there are parties, people will always ask you to join, especially if their are Wiz or 2h as they go through their MP pots quick. Plus there aren't a lot of them out there, so I like to play rarer chrs.
