Worse valentines day EVER..

So this morning I was driving to school in my car, going speed limit in this zone (35 mph). So ahead of me is a 4 way red light, a normal light. So I'm cruising, putting lil less than half onto the throttle. So I'm like some 500 feet away from the light, so I start to break cuz I need to turn right at the light.

So I start to brake, to be surprised that my car is still ACCELERATING... So it's like WTF? I look down, my throttle is STUCK. YES, stuck. SO I try to lift it up by going behind it with my foot, that didn't work, so I try to pump the gas, which makes things WORSE. Now the car is FLOORING itself towards a red light, with traffic coming both ways.

You'd think I'd be farked now, right? Kinda. So Farking, I slam on the brakes with all my might, all four of my tires go in almost a complete lock, I'm skidding towards a red light at around 20 mph. I know that I wont Farking make it because my accel was more powerful than my brakes, SO! I let off the brake, and my car floors itself VROOOOOOM across the red light. Yes, I passed a red light.

Ironic thing is, the throttle let off once I passed the red light. God is trying to kill me.

need to learn how to stop the car when that happens? if your driving a manual clutch and brake that way but ur in a auto simply disengage the engine. lucky the coppers didn't see you... could have been alot of painful explaining ahead.

If I put it into neutral it would of been worse. The car would of rev'ed it's engine until it would of blown up

Before actually entering the intersection, I got a quick glance to see if I could make it or not. If I saw that I couldn't make it, I'd most likely just pull the E or 180 my ass the other way. Either way, it's unsafe and unavoidable.

Got me freaken shaking for 3 hours after that =/

Dam thats scary. I remember the one time i was doing 80 on a back road and out of no where a deer jumped out, i slammed the breaks and spun the wheel, misseed the deer and did like 4 - 5 spins, landed in a brush pile. No damage to anything. Me and my friends shook for a bit. it was awesome scary lol.

....Lol, that's pretty bad. Not as bad as what my dad did the morning of the 14th though. He passes out, slides up on an inclined separator between the lanes (there was a streetcar stop there), then he ends up flipping over (at low speed). The car isn't anything spiffy...pretty crappy one really, but now that's farked, he won't repair cuz it will cost more than it did to buy the car but he escapes the whole ordeal with a bum on the head and a little pain from hitting the steering wheel with his face.
....3rd time he falls asleep behind the wheel, at least this time it was after a nigh shift...and trust me, he is not a night person.

Hope you did a checkup on your brakes/accelerator btw... You don't want your breaks not working next time because you only fixed the accelerator problem.

I went straight home after that, dropped off the demon car, and took my mom's SUV.

It has been at Ford all day yesterday and it is still there today.

NOTE: This all happened within a couple seconds, so seriously I couldn't think that fast, I just went with my first instincts.

I didn't turn, I went THROUGH the intersection on a red light. I slamed as hard as I could on the breaks, they LOCKED, making me SKID.

does you car have abs? if it doesnt your supposed to pump the brakes on and off so you can turn and go to the side or something

I laughed because I would've just held on to brakes and turned, since you can right turn on reds unless specified, but you floored it and went through the red light anyways, that's what I found funny...
